GP1971F Additional Screen

Hi FW Crew.
Currently running a GP1971 & TM260 on the dash, which is working great. Only issue I have is that I can't see the screen from the fishing area on the deck, so looking to get an additional display mounted up high on the dash on a bracket. From what I've read I don't think you can run two GP1971F units networked, but was wondering if there was any other kind of display that could be used. The second screen doesn't need any funtionality, just needs to display what's on the screen of the GP1971.
Appreciate any advice or suggestions.
Cheers,
BD.

Ive read you can do screen mirroring with a tablet or phone. I have a gp1971 and a gp1871 but haven't been able to link them yet, I have tried there is a Facebook page for the gp1971 lots of info there some people on there have 2 machines linked.

You can mirror your screen
You can mirror your screen with the "mirrorcontrol" app. Download that from the app or play store onto a phone (a bit small) or tablet, follow the prompts (from memory) and you are in business.

Wifi
Thanks guys, from what I have read in the GP1971 operator's manual this will work, but only so long as there is a wifi signal, which means once out of phone range there is no ability to mirror the display. Was hoping for a more durable connection, not sure if there is some kind of miracle "black box" taht could be used, but the GP1971 does not have an ethernet port so might struggle to find something.
Cheers,
BD.

Maybe splice into the transducer cable and fit the furuno plug.I have no idea if it would work it's just a thought of running 2 head units off the same tranny
