GPS Maps

Hey guys/girls does any one know which GPS mapping system
has the most upto date info and the most detail?

mate i have got a cmap nt+ card and my mate has a navionics and they are exactly the same for this area.  I am pretty sure the hydrographic department makes all of the information on changed surveys etc available to the companies that sell the information.

Ive noticed that magellan maps seam to have better detail than the Garmin and navman gear

This subject has come up many many times in every forum I'm a member/visited.

I guess the ideal way of definatively answering this, is to install every type of plotter/system* combination, then do a 100% assessment in every possible area you may fish in your life time, crystal balling for any possible new spots and take extensive notes. 

* OH, in preparation, you'll need a boat with a 50' bridge beam.

Pretty easy solution really - not! LOL 

Seriously, whilst I have no idea which one is best, I've often seen comments that it depends on the area you are looking at. Apparently, in some areas, they are exactly the same between two systems (as Brad advised above) and in another, one is better than the other.
