Grapnel sinkers and weed

For future reference:
If there is a bit of weed around in the area that you're fishing, then don't use a grapnel sinker. It will quickly grab every piece of weed within reach of your line, wrap your leader around the ball of weed, and snowball from there.
This weed bomb will grow very quickly.
Trying to land a 60cm ball of weed will prove very difficult if there is any current at all (which is why you were trying out a grapnel sinker in the first place).

You must bend the wires at the wrong angle, 2 degrees can be the difference between attracting weed or not
