Great day off the stones
Had a great day today with Bersek fishing (new forum member)off the stones near Duns today. Started off at around 9 in the hope of getting salmon, herring and flathead. On arrival a large pack of salmon went by resulting in a 3 way hookup and lots of screaming runs. After landing the salmon we got out the light rods armed with gulp soft plastics and various different poppers. We had great fun with the herring with both of us bagging out. The day went on with many more salmon caught, 6 in total! After having fun on more herring (they were put back) we moved around to the beach in the hope of some flathead on soft plastics. We landed one near size flatty, before I hooked some creature big and heavy. I called it for a flathead but no; it was what I believe to be a stargazer! After a few quick pics the fish was released and buried itself in the sand. All up we had a great day! One to remember.
