Bunker Bay

really happy got my first salmon today at bunker bay. It went to about 4.5kg and 77cm. Rob (rob90) got a nice 82cm about 5kg as well and kindly gave it to us for dinner. Got lots of fillets off them and I'm really happy. Mum made a video of me catching it, when it jumped and everything and her comments got quite funny. Also got a fairly good pic!

Good stuff buddy, it was good to meet ya and your folks and have a fish with ya, an hour after you left i was fishing back in that reef and a 3m bronzie cruzed on in about 10m away from me and started feedin on the salmon. I got out of the water pretty quick smart leaving a poo trail behind me.haha i dropped one more but no more landed.

Nice Lauchie!
What did the damage, looks like a surf rig and gangs?

Yeah we tried lures, but the salmon were very picky because apparently salmon will ask ways eat a mulie. So I chucked on a 3 or 4 ounce star sinker and 3 5/0 gang with a mulie and 30lb leader and it worked a treat. Casted just infront of the school. It's the exact rig u showed me
