Great start to the new year Moore River report

 Happy new year crew!

Well I drove up to the 3 mile reef this morning and had my bag limit of tailor in no time the fish aren't too big about 35-45cm.  So much weed around I could only fish one line.

Some lads up the beach had a flat battery and were half up a sand dune so I pulled them out and gave them a jump start. They gave me a few beers for my troubles so I can have some tailor and beer for breakfast, what a great start to the new year

Cheers

That's one of my favourite haunts although I haven't been up there for a while. Beer and fresh Tailor for brecky sounds like the way to go mate. Happy New Year mate.

You say the river looked close to breaking at the mouth? I was there from the 23rd to the 26th and it looked drained, has it really changed that much since then?

Where exactly is the 3 mile reef you were talking about? I'm not really familiar with the area but I'm only 2 hours or so from there and I'm keen to go back and fish the beach.

Jimmy it was quite full will probably be about to break soon.
Usually this time of year it's low tide in there.
3 mile is north up the beach from the little break wall probably about 1 kilometre
