this knot has been bugging me for ages, i have seen it been tied once before but cant remember how it was done...
its for tying your double in your braid to the mono leader, has anyone heard of it before or have a better knots for attaching your leaders than say a standard albright???

Braid leader knot
This is the knot I use - easy to tie and holds up extremely well. Good to cast with too I find and I have never had a prob with it. Have used it with mono up to 120lb and can still tie it alright but it does give the hands a workout on the heavier stuff.
Dont know of a diagram for it but will have a look and see if I can get one.

Geoff Wilson's Book of Knots
An essential part of every angler's equipment is Mr Wilson's very easy to read book, with every single knot you could possibly think of well described and illustrated.
Put it on your list for Christmas.

Where abouts do you live , can easily point you to someone if your here in Perth .
Ryan & co at Ocean side ,
the boys at the Bluewater stores ,
The seven seas pirate in Fishing boat harbour / rocky ( have to pay in black cans),
I'm no expert but I can show you
It's pretty easy once someone has shown you , BUT you MUST practice it or you will forget it , once you have it down pat you will use it forever.

did you know you can
did you know you can use the "print screen" button on top right of your keyboard to take pics of your entire desktop, as opposed to using ur camera to capture pics off the screen :P
press print screen, then paste it into paint.

a roll knot,
a roll knot, equally as useful and easy to tie, but not quite the same, ends up being chunkier than a GT knot, and may open once in a blue moon, but otherwise very useful and reliable. I used to use them due to ease of tying and remembering, but once I got the hang of the GT knot, there was no going back. Makes it so easy for casting too, and no clunking through the guides.
Got taught by blackbeard of the 7 seas meself ;) The diagram on anglersproshop is fine, but looks ridiculously complicated! get someone to show it to you properly in person, it is easy, and can be tied in less than 30 seconds on a rocking boat. Barely even need to use much strength to tighten it either (as compared to the roll knot... got a few 'leader burns' on those before...)
good luck

thanx
thanx all for helping but i FINALLY figured it out, best knot!!!!!
all it is, is a figure 8 in the mono then the braided double slides underthe first loop of the figure 8 and then basically the mono leader is passed through the rotating braided loop which then getss slid down to form the knot... sounds confusing but turnes out great! the reason why it is so hard to find the knot in a book is because there is non out there with it in nor on the internet.
thanx again~jonya
