Guildford?

Was thinking about maybe going to the Guildford area tomorrow probably around fish market reserve and was wondering if the recent rains might have affected the fishing. If not what could I expect to catch.

Cheers

Only a short drive from the fish market reserve is kings meadow oval. Apparently there is good team fishing around the snags there

I would suggest

that it may be better to wait. The fresh water coming down the Avon mostly force the bream further down the river in winter.

Lived in Basso very near the river (3 houses from Rolf Harris's family home - ) as a teenager and fished large stretches off that area, and certainly winter suxs compared with summer. Only ever used bloodworms in those days, but suspect snags will hold fish. A little downstream from Sandy Beach is a island (names has faded from memory) and on the North side there is a small "cliff" fave with a rock ledge underneath where I used to get heaps of bream. In the past I remember getting 30-40 when a school came through. Never ate them so always was pure sport.
