I would spend more time using my boat if i outsourced the shitty jobs but at the same time, if i paid someone else to do the work, i couldnt afford to use the boat
What a kind offer and thankyou sincerely! I am happy to have a crack at it with the wife. She wanted it replaced and removed the old stuff so can help.
The material has been sitting in Australia Post for sorting for 9 days so hopefully we see it shortly.
Wife and I did the install today. 2 tubes of silaflex and 89 screws later discovered that Bias sent me 11.7m.....I needed 12m and order 14m.....so one side is 300mm short.
second side, apart from the obvious cock up from Bias by cutting it 16% shorter than I needed was much better. We did it 500mm at a time and drilled pilot holes as opposed to allowing the stainless pan head self tappers to find their way.
It is a black rubber so 30 minutes in the sun on Sunday morning was all it needed. We started at 08:30 and finished at around 12:30. The final bit involved putting the insert in is a one person job.
Silicone spray may have made that a whole lot easier in retrospect.

Now to see how Bias want to fix this dilemma.

Thats a bit crap Swompa. I guess i will not purchase from BIAS boating.
How did you ensure the rubber was plyable before install? I have heard of few different ways ie: lay in the sun, carbord box with a heater etc.
