Hey All,
Heading down to Hamelin bay next weekend never been there before, doing some land based fishing from the beaches and rocks anyone know any good spots or reports of where some fish are biting? I am not expecting any salmon at this time of year more tailor, skippy and possibly a kingy or something larger if I send the balloon out. Some suggestions would be good.
Cheers,

Boranup
If you have a 4x4 head down towards Boranup end of the bay and fish the gutters that form there, you should get some good skippy, tailor and silver bream with the chance of a shark or two and maybe the mulloway you want.

alot of stingrays mate lurk
alot of stingrays mate lurk in the sandy depths off of hamelin bay, if you are burleying just be wary but as above, boranup beach is a nice spot also the beach and blow holes around at cosy corner ( next gravel road towards augusta) is a nice spot with a reef and some good gutters in close, if ur got a good 4x4 or would like to trek accross the blowholes there is elephant rock which is a deep hole ,
good luck mate, beautiful spots down there, but be safe

boranup is the northern end
boranup is the northern end of the bay, hamelinis the southern point ( not excactly like tht but but easier to explain)
cosy is further south and around the headland that makes the point of hamelin bay, in between these two i belive there is beach called Foul bay.
to be honest i havent walked around the point in a long time (since i did the cape to cape) so im unsure how far it is to cosy corner but i know that by following the road it will take you into the CC car park mate

Drive as far south as you can along the beach. There is a reef you can walk out onto and fish off of if the weather is ok. If not cast onto the reef and let it wash off into the hole there. I pulled a big tailor and tons of bream frm there. On the track in there is a turn off on the right. It is a steep track that takes you half way to the honey combs. There is a nice little beach to the right with a good reef and to the left an elevated spot for bream, skippy, squid and more. If you are not confident with 4x4 don't go there.

The sound
I like the sound of that reef with the deep holes for tailor might have to get the xrap or the roosta popper out and it work it over it, thanks sea hunter.

Foul Bay
Plenty of herring at foul bay with the odd skippy, tailor, whiting. nice little beach kind of protected from large swell.Bit of a walk up the hill from the boat ramp so pack kind of light.
