Ramp

Drop one pot on the lump just out to the right of the ramp, seen some good crays come off it and everyone drives straight past it.
Head around the back of the island, plenty of ledges to pick from

stick to the right of the rock out front. Only 500m north to north west, plenty of crays in there, easy as. Less risk, back of the island is open to the southern swell and very easy to get pots stuck

be careful wherever your potting down there , the thieves are out and about

had a customer recently mark from augusta recently bought 2 new x 3/4 pots of me ,,,he put them in from new marina .....within 24 hours they where taken .both where well weighted and set up to fish well ... unfortunately they had no gear id on them ..... but there my pots so I can identify them from a few of the particular ways I build a pot ... jarrah frames with pine battens ..... 9'' red necks

anyone hanging around the ramps anytime ...or diving ..keep your eyes out for any new gear being used ...

very low thing to do and I feel bad for mark as it was his first season chasing crays ... and he gets this ???

The peps that do this sort of thing

Wed, 2017-12-06 19:01

The peps that fisheries catch and dish out big fines to like the ones they catch interfering with other peoples gear deserve all they get.
I'm real happy with seeing them being hurt badly with big fines. IMO they are real low life bottom feeders and deserve all they get, I was glad to see Fisheries release a photo of the bastards in a boat caught red handed interfering (read stealing) from some one else's pots the other day.

Very sorry to read about the person who had his gear stolen it really leaves a bad taste in your mouth when you read of this sort of thing.
