Hammerhead
I've heard some people say that wrasse is edible but I reckon you would have to be pretty bloody hungry to give it a go. On the other hand, hammerhead are meant to be quite tasty. Would have went straight in the ice box! What bait did you catch him on?

If I catch another
If I catch another hammerhead I might keep it
I caught him on whole live whiting - took a big chomp out of the one on my hook - then he got himself tangled up on my tackle....
Heard you have to head, fin and tail them straight away
The whiting are tasting pretty good

Nice shark, they are pretty
Nice shark, they are pretty good to chew on.
If you are going to practice catch and release it is best not to hold the shark by the tail like that. It is also better for you not to hold them like that, small hammerheads have a nasty habit of recoiling on themselves.

i caught one that size a few
i caught one that size a few years back, trunked it within minutes of it being on the boat and i would rate it more so on the average side rather than good eating. would never keep one again put it that way.
Here we go again.
