I'm confussed

Fri, 2018-01-26 22:14

I think the first post is great and true, however, after being down at the estuary in front of home I come home and look at the sprinklers flooding the front lawn and verge to keep the grass a rich health green colour. Why

I'm pouring our most valuable resource (water) and an increasingly scarce one the lawn so it grows up nice and green then I have to get the mower out and spend time I could be fishing mowing the damn stuff and then carting it to the tip.

As the song says so well "I love a sun burnt country.....the wide brown land for me"

So why do I do everything to ensure that I have a green lawn in summer, I think I'll just finish this nice bottle of white and forget about the lawn and logic.

Funny thing is we're in Mandurah and we decided to head down the Dawesville foreshore with the kids. We ended up just south of the cut and on arrival realised it was us and about 5 big families of Aborigines.

My first thought was to back up due to the current climate around the date but I can guarentee all that they were into the Australia Day celebrations with flags waving etc more than we were and we all enjoyed the day together.

And that is what Australia day is about

Bringing all repeat all Australians together to celebrate what is good about our repeat our country.

United we will stand, if we become divided as some peps are trying to make us we will fall.

Hope you had a good one, it sounds like you did.
