Gday i managed to get up to club capricorn for the "shark bash" and meet a few more fish wrecked crew. The conditions werent as favourable as the boys would have hoped as there was plenty of weed in the first 10m of water and the boys were bringing in lots of it. The easterly wasnt quite easterly either so made for some hard fishing. ( i didnt fish just onlooked) there were about 12 crew at the time i was there and they were casting and using slide baits trying to avoid the weed. Diehard however got on his surf board and paddled out some baits. bloody Keen if you ask me. he even caught a wave back in. Only took a couple of pics and stayed a couple of hours so i didnt see anything get caught but it was nice too meet a few more crew and have a look.

the fishing was hard work
the fishing was hard work with heaps of weed as said above. Plenty of bait fish around and a few tailor destroying the bigger baits from time to time. Only one small bronzy landed while I was there, think diehard has some pics to post up later.
