Hedland afternoon marker bash
Mark and I shot out on Tuesday afternoon for a quick channel marker fish. For those that don't know, we have 40 plus channel markers that begin in the the port and finish way out on the horizon. There are a few ways to fish them and I have found that if the tide is ripping through, gently nosing your boat up to the very base and getting stuck in the eddy created by the marker works well or you can begin your drift up-current from the marker and cast at it as you drift by. The last few weeks have seen plently of fun Queenfish hanging around which have been loving small stickbaits and on Tuesday Mark got to tangle with a larger than usual Cobia that was a welcomed suprise. I have just purchased a Nitro Voodoo which with 10lb strung through it I have managed to keep most fish off and away from the barnacles but a few have had me stitched up. Mark has been preferring to arm himself with his sweet new Dawia interline baitcast combo.
God bless
Paul

Yeh mate, going down to get it. Luke did offer to meet halfway for a fish but decided to go down and catch up with family. Can't wait to have a play with the new gear.
