Help trolling for tailor in the river

Hi everyone Was planning on a cruise on the river sunday arvo with the mrs, she isnt that into fishing so i am trying to gradually get her involved a little and was looking for a little help maybe trolling for some chopper tailor.  I was going to use some small slices like 20 to 60 gram but i have some bream lures like little rmg scorpions and laser pro's what would you guys reccomend?

I was thinking of launching in mosman bay and maybe heading up around east fremantle do the tailor hold up in the main channel or on the shallow banks or around drop offs

any advice would be greatly appreciated

lazer pros and scorps would be a treat to htem. perfect size to take them at the moment. they are smashing Yo Zuri Crystal Minnows like no tomorrow so some 6-8cm diving lures would be a treat. good luck!

If you fishing night look

If you fishing night look for areas with alot of light and dark points, the tailor is usually hiding in the dark area waiting to ambush the lure. plenty of choppers about though, usually fish the claremont areas.

I was out there last Monday catching choppers.

Was using blue bait on a triple gang with running sinker.  Just next to the second pylon on the northern side.

my mate was using bream lure without sucess.

largest chopper was 28cm.  heaps of fun on light gear. every cast was producing a fish.

best part, when the sun is burning your skin  you just anchor in the shade of the bridge.

good luck
