HMAS Swan dive
Hey everyone,
So following my post on diving the swan thought id post something. First of all id like to say thanks to Lamby and Jayden20 for letting us borrow their sharkshields and also a big thanks to everyone else who offered.
Planned a surprise trip down south to Dunsborough for the misses and i and here's a little taste of our dive day. So the misses and i got to Cape Dive early in the morning and met the crew and 2 other divers. Following a chat with them (both sisters 50yo+) they had dove the swan many times and basically said dont be pussys and leave the shark shields. So we did haha.
All in all we absolutley loved it, vis was only about 8-10m but we still thoroughly enjoyed our 1st ever wreck dive. In total did 2 dives on the day but can see us doing more to really check the whole ship. Swimming through the ship in dark places made it a bit eery but quite surprised at how much the light travels down at 30m. Saw some nice size pinks near the hull and sambos hanging round off the mooring ropes as high up as 6m. Between dives we had lunch and could see the sambos topwater chasing bait.
Also stayed at the dunsborough rail carriages near simmos icecream and thought it was just the perfect getaway near nature, town and you have a heap of privacy. Priced really good too.
Thanks again to everyone hope the pics come up.
