Almost 14′ long it has an extra large front hatch for storing up to 100 redfish or 165 flounder or 2 tarpon or Jimmy Hoffa or whatever you can cram in it. The casting deck has foot wells for a wide stance for fly fishing or sight casting without worry. There are, and I swear to God this is true, stainless steel rails on both sides - Boston Whaler style (but just about 18″ long, they’re handles with rigging options). Mounting rails near the front for a sonar, gps, etc and the coolest feature of all is probably the internal rod storage. There are sockets for up to 6 fishing rods similar to the storage areas under the railings of a bass boat. In a design move that breaks with all previous Hobie kayak styles the ends are squared off into large handles. The rudder is not off the stern, either. It’s a new design that sits further up under the kayak and will blow your mind. Very new thinking from Oceanside on this rig.

This boat is built with middle America and the southeast in mind, sorry California. Freshwater lake anglers will love this, flatwater bonefish chasers will love this, JimBillyBoJackBob Glitterboat Navy will love this. It’s like a bassboat without fuel costs.
