I havent worked on the Honda
I havent worked on the Honda specifically but all modern 4 strokes have a similar set up.
After checking the basics such as plugs, plug leads (run it cover off in the dark to look for sparks), fuel filters and lines
The most likely cause to me would be either the TPS (throttle position sensor) or the IAC (idle air control valve).
The TPS in most modern engines acts to save fuel by sensing when say an engine is coasting and it shuts fuel off completely until revs reach a point that needs idle fuel.
The IAC is also tied into this.
Its a common problem on F115 Yams but not so much on Hondas.
Also happened on my Suzi DF115, and a spray of top end cleaner into the valve fixed it with no subsequent occurence
Give a man a mask, and he'll show you his true face...
The older you get the more you realize that no one has a f++king clue what they're doing.
Everyone's just winging it.
