How Brazen - bloody thieves
Hi all
Please be on the lookout for 3 identical Shimano electric reels and rod combo's for sale.
Bloody thieves targeted them off a mates 8m boat Centre console with front cab on the canals in Dudley Park. Lots of Expensive gear on board but only stole the 3 combo's and 2 pricy gaffs. Nothing else touched, and they must have had some insider info as the rods was "hidden" inside the cab. Nothing broken though so insurance not interested.
Cant believe how brazen as there are lots of dogs, and CCTV around various homes, but all footage hazy due to the bad weather we had. Some show a white van but cant ID any specific features.
Will try and get the model of the reels but obviously any electric reel/combo for deep fishing isn't cheap.

That sucks thieving pricks there everywhere , but your mates game leaving that lot on the boat I'd have that gear locked up good .

Thieving bastards give me the shits, hope you get your gear back undamaged.
Just for interest sake who are you insured with and did they tell you just why they weren't going to pay.

Two Shimano electric
Two Shimano electric reel/rod's went up on Gumtree yesterday. Model TM6000XT & SLS600H. You mentioned that they were identical so more than likely not them but may be worth you having a look on Gumtree.

That was gonna be my question. Most inusrance policies I've read won't cover equipment like rods etc unless they were locked away and there are signs of break-in

You lock something on a boat the damage to get them is more.
The insurer is the norm for boats.

That wasn't the reel. Same reel but the buttons on that model is different to Tony's. I should have checked with him faster and posted up sooner.
