How long between checking cray pots

How many days can I leave cray pots without checking them due to weather and work not lining up? Is a week between pulls too long with a single bait basket pot? Will finally get some in the water on thursday but with work on the weekend I wont be back out until Tuesday at the earliest.

You might get lucky and have 30 in the pot. Or you might get none! A week is a long time but you just never know! Depends on your positioning

We had 4 pots out for 2 weeks without them getting checked due to circumstances

Pulled them last saturday and bagged out easily by the third pot with minimum of 6 in each pot and one had 9 or 10

No bait left though

How long?

More frequently the better purely to reduce others pulling your pots and/or ockys getting in. If the craypots are in a good area and you have bait and they havnt been pulled then 1 week is still worth expecting crays especially with the whites walking.
