hi guys,
thinking of doing a kayak on a budget (even cheaper if i win that one on sunday!!)
i have my gps60 which i could mount to give me to gps function, just wondering what sort of money i would be looking at for a cheap fish finder setup. (as basic as possible.)
any idea what something like this would go for? donations are openly accepted.
cheers

I've got an old B/W furuno.
I have an old
Furuno's LS4000 LCD fish finder is compact, waterproof and --. It packs 300 Watts RMS (2400 Watts P-P) of transmitter power for unparalleled fish-finding performance. ( as the webpages says...lol
I also have a 600watt transducer for it.
cheers

sunder and tranny
mate, you can get both the LCD sounder and tranny for $100, that way I can pay for the ladder from the Archie... ;-)
It was a back-up unit on the boat, but I have now got a FCV585 with a 1kw tranny on it.
It would be perfect for your yak, as youy could mount the tranny inside the hull and shoot through. The unit uses bugga all power.
cheers
