If only I had more time...
Took Friday off, as you do, and went in search of a massive mahi school I came across the previous Saturday. I ran the reef first and nailed three wahoo in the hour it took to get along it, including a double hook-up. Awesome fun when I was the only one fishing. After leaving the reef it didn't take too long to find the mahi. The rictor dorado did most of the damage with eight mahi coming into the boat over the next two hours. Initially I was fishing with four mahi lures out; this only ended up in absolute mayhem. Hooked up one and got into the boat just as another lure did it's job, with the second one in the boat and a bit of blood on the deck from two fish that weren't even on ice yet a third mahi joins the party. Fighting a quality mahi in a choppy sea and blood in the deck made for a bit of laughter from my mate who was driving as he was sure I was going in the piss. Luckily I didn't and we had our three mahi on ice shortly after. We then dropped to two lures only: only to get a double hook-up about five minutes later. I could honest say I saw 30 mahi airborne in the two hours I was in the school, nat geo sort of stuff. I left them biting to take the family for a snorkel with the mantas, man I'm going to miss this place.

Memories
Yes Frank, a million memories, if not more. The next posting is back in WA, so it will be time for a different style of memory. One thing I've learnt over here is definately not to take too much for granted. Some of the guys of here have nothing, and have no hope of ever improving on that, but they are happy. Life is for living, and they all do that. Next year will be spent diving for crays, prawns, scallops and crabs, catching marron, Kayaking for redfin, snorkelling for crabs, squiding, fishing for whiting, tailor and flatties. Jigging for dhues, snapper, baldies, harpuka, trevalla, bass grouper..... Might even head up north for a troll if time permits. Mate the list goes on, I'm nearly excited about coming home. Nearly. One month until departure day. Hopefully more mahi on Friday - taking the 2-4kg bream gear.......
