Metro Rankin Cod

I caught this Rankin Cod about 8 miles out off Quinns Rocks while fishing for KG's it was about 35cm. Release it with a release weight so hopefully someone will catch him when he's a bit bigger. Will be great if we start catching these guys regularly this far south.

Gold!

I had two spanglies following me around while I free dived for crays at rotto last weekend. One was close to size...

A mate caught a cobia east of rotto on tuesday too.

Wow!....I actually caught and released a little baby rankin Cod about 30cm, when snapper fishing with the misses in Cockburn sound a couple of weeks before the closure, have caught plenty of them up around Exmouth so got a pretty good idea of what they look like!...It was definitely a little Rankin.

When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:

n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or

n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.
