Info for woodmans point / coogee jetty ?

Alright everyone , just in process of moving to spearwood and after meeting landlord i just so had couple rods in the car and went for a mess around down the coogee jetty (is this woodmans point?) few couples wasting the arvo and stayed until an hour after dark with pretty much no luck.

Just wondering whats the go there , as in what should i be targetting this time of year ?

I know people will want to jump on here nd say "youll only catch a cold when you have to walk home" but i drive a bucket and if someone does twok it it will force me into buying a new one which the mrs will be delighted with !

Also is there any other decent spots not too far .. any advice on what set ups etc be much appreciated .. cheers geordie kev

ive caught plenty of herring and gardies off the jetty, just burley up and use small hooks and floats and you should get a bit of a feed and some bait, also if your keen you can take your big gear and set out a tailor or a live herring under a baloon for some sharks, there are also plenty of rays on the bottom.

 woodmans point jetty: winter

woodmans point jetty: winter = snapper in storms, rays, shovel noses, salmon, tuna, ocational mulloway. Summer = spanish mackeral, bronzies, tigers, black tips, hammerheads, tuna, rays, mulloway, school macks, bonito, herring.

Have a balloon out 200m with half a salmon or mullet on 2 10/0 hooks in summer and u got a chance of a big shark.

just had a drive down the coogee harbour and couldnt see where you would fish ? parked up where the dome place is and walked around the marina but it was covered in no fishing signs and I was followed by a security fella who obv thought i was creeping ha. Also parked up at woodman point (first time down there) had a chat to few the boys fishing who said there had been a few big rays pulled in an hour before .. but i havnt got any metal leeders so would it be pointless fishing down there tomorrow morning with a couple of rods with just 10 n 15k line on ? anyway gona go the coogee beach jetty before sun up see about getting some bait fish and then figure out where best to sling them out
