or are there heaps of big crays around this season?!
hit some good lumps with wazza on saturday afternoon. again, 1 tank each to bag out, and again, some more jumbos in the deep caves.
one of the big ones had a carapace of 198mm. only saw a few whites, but this country doesnt usually hold many, but it wont be long until they are well and truely running i reckon.
Dave (Xtreme Coolers), I threw in a free bit of advertising for ya!!

crayfish - help from divers sought
I seeking a bit of advice from the diving crew about where they are seeing a lot of crayfish, NOW WAIT I'm not seeking where your favorite spot is. I have not even seen a cray in 2 weeks (I'm a potter) obiously I'm not putting my pots in the right territory and what I'm seeking is if some of the dive crew could tell me were they would put pot s ( if they where using them). ie depth of water type of country and any other infomation that might be of help. Also have the whites started to "walk" yet. I live at falcon and have put pots at the back of the FFB inside the FFB and dam near up on the beach all to no avail. Any help appreciated

Hooters!!!
Decent catch there!! Love to know where all the reds are hiding, haven't seen a single red in the last three dives in close.
I'll assume your diving deeper water, always found when the crays are in close the jumbos all move in to around 20-30 meters. got a few spots in 28 that can be barren most of the year but when the tiddlers are in shallow the offshore spots are always chokkas with jumbos.
