Planning on being in Exxy in 4 weeks fishing out of Tantabiddi. Has anybody on here had much luck with lobster out that way? Just wondering if should take the pots with us and drop them on the way out cheers

There are patches of red
There are patches of red crays there but you would have to be pretty lucky or spend a lot of time diving to find them.
Does anyone know where the love of god goes, when the waves turn the minutes to hours?

OK - is it cause theres not that many around?
or they not keen on entering pots? Im thinking more about catching the larger tropical lobsters.

The tropicals do eat meat
The tropicals do eat meat but I was told the reason they don't go into lots is their feelers don't fold back like red crays.

Simple answer no. There
Simple answer no. There are red crays here but if you dont know where to look you will never find them. They are only in very small localised spots. If your going to target tropicals they aint anything like red crays taste wise. Tough and tasteless is my view. Green crays are good youll catch these in the gulf and islands but not on the west side.
