What about the Bulldogs [Footscray], St Kilda and Melbourne they haven't won a flag either in the time from when the Eagles entered the comp so why pick on the poor old Dockers.

Nice work there canarvonite, at the end of the year i would be happy with just two wins..against the wettoast eegirls. Saints are looking very good this year, my money is on them for the flag this year( if the dockers miss out)

Bad Losers
Was in the Potshot hotel bar when the Dockers won their first derby.Bar was chockers and every time the Eagles kicked a goal nearly all the crowd yelled and screamed. With half the final quarter to go and the Dockers 5 goals in front there were 3 people in the bar[all Docker supporters] and 4 bar staff to serve them.
It was like some one had the plague as soon as it looked like the Eagles couldn't win they were out the door.
Will remember it for years to come, one of those magic moments.

Poor Egurls will probably win more games in the season and never see the second rung on the ladder, but who really cares anyway when both teams are piss poor.

Lets head for the future
Lets head for the future then
Any Dockers fans want to have $100 on the Dockers winning their 1st premiership before the Eagles get their 4th? This could be a very long term bet.
Lets remember the Dockers have been in this comp for 15 years now, by that stage the Eagles had established themselves, lost a Prelim, lost a GF, won one, lost a Prelim, won another, spent their cycle out of contention (but still in the finals), which brings the Dockers in line with the Eagles of 2002. Ah yes, the year we just got Juddy at 3 in the draft (the Dockers took Polak at 4) and would just now be building towards their next GF loss, and then a GF win. Lets recap the Dockers first 15 years..............they won an elimination final.......(crickets chirping)...........
We leave the Saints, Dogs and Demons supporters alone because they know better than to stick their heads up after 2 wins.

2001 Draft
I was just checking out the 2001 draft list, some of the names and where the got taken are amazing, considering the players the WCE and Dockers took early (Sampi at 6, Polak at 4).
8. Jimmy Bartel
13. Nick Dal Santo
16. Rick Ladson
17. James Kelly
19. Jason Gram
24. Steve Johnson
32. Campbell Brown
58. Dane Swan (Can you believe that!! Medhurst at 56 is interesting)
60. Adam Schneider
71. Brian Harris (One of the best fullbacks going around)
Obviously a draft is a real lottery based on that.

Remember though mate, the truth may hurt, expect some grief over this from the dorkers mob, maybe just better to let them soak up their new found glory with their two consecutive wins - Phew hey, they could just about plan the end of season trip now. Yes mate let them go on all they want about WCE supporters living in the past, because come towards the end of this season, that's exactly what they will be doing, reflecting on their past two premiership weeks. I don't think there would be any with the b#$%%s to take you up on your $100 bet mate. Having said that, they are slowly relieving themselves of the AFL laughing stock tag that they have had for so long now, so they do deserve some credit I guess.

As much as I love the Eagles, I have really enjoyed watching the two Dockers games this year. They got some good young talent and might be finally heading somewhere (Other than down). Most of their best players for both weeks were first or second year players. On the other hand, I think the Eagles are in trouble this year! I don't think their young guys are anywhere near the skills of the Dockers'.

As a long time Docker sufferer, I mean supporter, it is good to see a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel. I just hope they don't screw it up as per normal.
I think the best part of how they are playing ATM is they are playing 4 quarters not just a half etc.

The Eags need a new fresh approach coach with a bit of flair, someone like Andrew Jarman. Methinks Johnny's gone flat and lost his imagination with selections etc. To all the dockers out there it's only two games in and there's a long season ahead come back to me at the end when you've won more than 11 games then I'll be impressed. Go the Eagles!!!!!!!

"A mark of a good team is when they are losing thier fans stand by them. Can hardly say the same thing about the dorkers with fans booing and hissing all the time"
hmmm.... wrass I think you have your teams mixed up here !
I sit on the other side of the fence on game day and can tell you now (after taking off my Freo cap)...that West Coast supporters are far worse than Freo supporters !!
They exit the stadium early when their side is losing, faster than the poor buggers on the Titanic trying to abandon ship !
That's sticking by your team thru thick and thin....... NOT !
Maybe they were just trying to get front seat on the bus ?
Some of the crap you hear that comes over the fence is unbelievable - especially when it is targeted at their own players !!
A classic was a few years ago when Juddy was still playing for your mob..
A select group of "supporters" gave him shit for 3/4 of the game..
Then started praising him in the last 1/4...
Got me buggered !
Juddy was a legend thru and thru.... only problem with him was he wore yellow & blue instead of purple
And Freo fans haven't stuck by their team ??
After all these year's being frustrated at the way the club performs both on and off the field (including selections), I'm pretty sure the majority of Freo supporters have stuck by the club !
It's just great to see that the team finally looks like they have gotten their shit together and have the passion and hunger for success this season...
Maybe...just maybe.... 2010 will be our year !
They had their chance in 2006, but fell away at the last hurdle to Sydney..
It should have been a Western Derby Grand Final....but luckily for West Coast it wasn't !!!!!!!!

It was Essendons Victory That destroyed that Fantasy in 2006
And we wouldve had a western derby final!!!! and Freos first flag!
Hands down... last night victory at Shithehad means sooo much!!!
Oh and watching the eagles game the other day...(Even the umpire couldnt win them a game. He was Eagles best player!!!)..
I heard alot of boos towards the Eagles! And it was at Subi maybe its the 2 faced West Oz supporters that change there jumpers every Week!!!..
But i dont know i put the Eagles below East Fremantle just below dog poo on my list of likes....

Fremantle played Sydney at Telstra Stadium..in the Preliminary Final.
Sydney 19.13 (127) def Fremantle 14.8 (92)
West Coast played Adelaide at AAMI Stadium...in the Preliminary Final.
West Coast 11.19 (85) def Adelaide 11.9 (75)

spot on carnarvonite, last years 2nd derby was hilarious, halfway throught the 3rd quater all the stairs out went yellow and blue. eagles fans have no loyalty! us dockers fans have gone through thick and thin and we are now reaping the rewards for getting rid of passengers and phil smart.

How dramatic Davy G - You mean to say that you have suffered because the dockers have been the laughing stock of the AFL for many years now (Coming good now) . By the way you cant have been to too many games, if you don't recall many many dockers fans leaving the ground in disgust.

Freo's Favorite Sons
Any of these names ring a bell:
Chris Waterman, Glen Jackovich, John Worsfold, Peter Matera, Chris Mainwaring, Michael Brennan, Peter Wilson, Peter Sumich, Paul Harding
Quite a handy bunch of players to be gifted for your first premiership. You can't change the past and you shouldn't live in the past, but Eagle fans should be very thankful to Freo's contribution to their success in the 90's....and a few of these names might still have something to do with helping the Eagles out now.
Have a look at the Eagles team from '92. Anything stand out as unusual??? Every player is WA. Its team and history was built on concessions.

I hate to break it to you, however you may have an argument although a very thin one if Fremantle was around then, when did they enter the comp by the way and provide the rest of the teams with a good laugh. Oh by the way, do you also take credit for the success of Essendon and Adelaide, do you understand what I'm asking?

Hey Rodrat
To be honest with you, as much as I am an eagles supporter I have thought for a long while now that Lynch does not really perform consistently, he goes missing all to often and really drops to many straight forward marks. I don't have an issue with him being dropped and there probably should be one or two others with him. What I'm more concerned about is why have they got Masten and Shuey playing half forward roles, instead of setting up tin the midfield, that to me is more of an issue.

I'm a roos fan so it don't bother me,(Roos have enough probs)
but i still rekon he was dropped cos of the record he would have broke!Whoosa and Jacovich would be good mates! He played well the last game with 2 goals and 20 odd posessions. I rekon more goes on at the footy clubs then anyone could imagine.

Sorry don't agree Rodrat
The problem is that most of his possessions without doubt, are not effective and are often long bombs to contests resulting in turnovers, again he is not the only one guilty of this, but he does need to be held accountable. I cant see Worsfold putting him on ice because of club records if he was likely to change the course of a game.

I feel for lynchy cos he will prob be used in the ruck now cos cox is buggered. He was beein moulded for the forward line as whoosa said the other night, but i rekon he will go to the ruck so nick nat can roam forward. Either way hope he gets another go.

He was a forward line player and has been most of his career
He was moved up the ground some time ago now and has been playing both positions as you say to cover the ruck options, however he still has marking and disposal issues which is what we don't need any more of in our forward line. It should be a good game. The panther will be on this week!!

Nothing worse than a Freegle in my mind. Get orf the fence. Ya wont see a freo supporter say that the eagles are their second team.
As for this year I think its gonna be a real nuclear winter for the cokers. What with all of the pre season meeja hype about how theyre gonna make the 8 and all. With that list I dont think that God himself will be able to coach them out of the sewers.
The meeja have lashed Freo's recruiting over the last few years with , Hill, Pearce, Palmer Ibbo SOS cuzin and suban and co.
I would say that it is in fact EE Girls that have recruited badly.

Sorry there Paully
My crude attempts to gather points with the use of the crude venacular (in the game of "one upmanship") of this somtimes maligned tongue has perhaps hit the proverbial nerve with some respondents and furthermore drawn a response that I was not acustomed to be in receipt of, particularly after the contsant bastardisation of the english language that occurs on this most savy site with the most fervent disregard for the gramatically challenged.
I do apologise if I have offended anyone with my the use of perhaps less than desirable use of the english language.
Now in answer to your question, Yes i did go to school, but that is "ONLY TO EAT MY LUNCH".

I think your right mate
The problem for Nic Nat at the moment is all the hype I think, I don't think it's fair considering he only played 13/14 games I think, but he does apparently handle it well. He is a freak no doubt and i would guess that Melbourne would be spewing they didn't snaffle him. Id be surprised if Lynchy comes back this week, on another note I heard a story the other day (Rumour) allegedly from a source close to him that he is considering the Gold Coast side which is strange given that I am sure he is contracted. I think he has some family ties to the Gold Coast. There will be those that ask then if that is the case - "Is that why he was dropped" Id wish him well if he went that way.

I'm a fence sitta now. I use to call myself an Eagles supporter but now, I would rather watch a good game of footy (any team) than a bad game of Eagles footy. I found myself cheering for the Dockers this year and I use to hate them (mainly to upset my mates) and hate watching them play. But...
This year so far, I have really enjoyed watching them. Just a question for all the Dockers supporters though... Which team did you support before the Dockers came along??? Seriously???
I fish for the future - Cause I can't bloody catch anything!

That $100 is still flapping
That $100 is still flapping away in the wind all alone. Just waiting for a bite.................
In all seriousness, I would rather watch reruns of 80's and 90's games when footy was a hard mans game. Most of the skinny posers playing these days would get massacred if the likes of Millane, Dipper, Worsfold and Dermy could have caught them, which is doubtful. Thats why I would prefer to go to the local park and watch the amatuers
I actually didn't watch a single gameof footy at the weekend, which is very odd for me. The good news is I made $70 from Sportsbet. Started with $200, and after 2 rounds I am up $60. Not bad for a beginner.

There are a few mashers still there
Wishing they had the freedom that the 90s guys had to throw weight around. Look at big Bazza Hall, Mr Brown etc etc. In that decade Shannon Herne would have been dropped for pulling out of the perfect chance to mince someone with a massive hip and shoulder. Being a 70s and 80 player myself I would have killed to be in Shannon's position LOL. Some payback for the stuff I copped at times. LOL.
Anyway, this week is going to test my tipping skills and loyalty. I shudder to think I am almost suggesting the Dawkers may give the Cats a bit of a nudge......
