JM Fallings range
Submitted by adamibinfishin on Thu, 2014-07-03 15:44
Hi guys,
currently been running a couple of the Jm 3kings range of rods and have been fairly happy. Also got a Jm Fallings light in overhead on its way to me and was just wondering if anyone else is using any of these as I haven't played with one yet but couldn't resist ordering it. Thoughts in comparison to the 3kings and anything about these rods in general, cheers
regards Adam

The only 3 kings I used was a pe6-8 spin......I thought it was an awful rod, broomstick.....and the el cheapo fishing WA PE6-8 was heaps nicer to use on 250-400 g jigs.
The fallings PE 1.5-4 on the other hand is the nicest rod I have ever used.
Boston Whaler 235 Conquest......getting the flogging it was built for.

Agree with John - the Fallings is a great rod.
In the larger sizes also. But they have heaps of guts so unless you are solely targetting monster class doggies or something I think one of the lighter offerings will suit best. What application are you looking at?
When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:
n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or
n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.

fallings light pe 3 to 6
Hi guys, looking at the fallings light and have recently sold my 3 kings heavy and medium combos. I have the 3 kings ultra light and am going to run my pe2 on that with 30lb braid thereabouts and want to run my pe3 on the light with 50lb braid thereabouts.
To be honest the 3kings heavy was an absolute brute but the medium was a nice stick especially if you were going to actually do a trip to the 3kings or monster sambo jigging in deepwater all the time. Here in South Australia I will be targeting medium fish with the light, kings, sambos under 25kg mainly in water up to 60 metres of water.
pleasure to use this gear really, even bait fishing in deeper water at times when conditions permit.
As far as a heavy outfit I still have a amberjack sniper teamed with a low speed 6500 extreme anyway which I won't part with, thanks for the feedback fellas.
cheers
