John papas trailers

 Hi all

My 20year old dunbier trailer needs replacing. Just wondering if anyone has a john papas trailer?

I have a 4.2 quintrex and the john papas trailers are a fair bit cheaper. I mostly do bitumen with a bit of gravel roads and beach launching.

Any info would be appreciated.

Cheers

I have a 10 year old Pappas

I have a 10 year old Pappas and my father has one that is around 12. He has done plenty of work on his to remove and treat rust and mine needs the love. You can hose the galvanising off it.

The trailer A frame is ok though all of the roller supports bolted to it, I suspect, are imported and the galvanising went on the, first then it spread down to the remaining structure.

You can tell the bits that are locally made as they are still in good condition.

my old man is looking to make a new steel one and I am looking into buying aluminium.

After having a John Pappas

After having a John Pappas trailer I can assure there is a good reason why they are cheaper !

Spend the extra and get something decent, you'll be happier in the long run.

bought a new loadstar tandemm trailer back in 2009, it did a lot of hard work over a decade nearly and handled it well
sold it back to them last year as trade in and got $600 for it

loadstar where easy to deal with and a smooth swap over

the new galvanised tandemm i bought to replace it so far has been mint ,

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'm looking to upgrade the boat in two-three years so I was thinking the papas to get me to that stage and it would be a bit of money saved to put towards new boat.

While we’re bagging JP trailers, I got a new one with my GenisesCraft last year. Paid for a stone guard which barely covers the paint. I called them and they thought I was stupid for doubting it. Now I have paint chips ........:
