Johnson Interest

Can anyone tell me what is special about the 1993 Johnson 150hp Silver Star Series? I have just bought one and want to know if there is anything I need to look out for. It will be going behind a 19ft Douglass Craft which we are remodelling.

Yes, thanks. I have looked on iboats and quite a few others. However, they're pretty vague and nondescript. I was hoping someone had a more personal experience with them.

VRO

If it is still running the VRO (oil injection)  I would consider disconnecting it and going back to premix . It is a pain in the ass but will probably save you grief later on . I had 3 different marine mechanics all say that they would not give warranty on a rebuilt 1995 90HP johnson if the VRO was still being used .

Also Crowley marine in the states is pretty good and cheap for parts .
