hey everyone
heading up to kalbarr for the easter holidays. looking for any fishing advice like what spots what bait and rigs and what species? ive heard of spanish mackerel and tuna at wagoe. is it a good time of year for them?

I always wanted to take my
I always wanted to take my 12ft dinghy to lucky bay and do some fishing behind the reef there (ended up heading out on a friends 7.0m boat instead haha). The mack's will be there at easter but we only found them in nice, blue water (if it's murky don't bother).
I like Wagoe (poppers and mulie on typical paternoster rigs) for beach fishing and the river for bream and crabs (some nice mud crabs there). There are numerous landbased spots which fish well up there; just depends on how keen you are?

As long as you dont get a puff of dirty water pelagis will be there close! warm temps, warm water, clean water = pelagic action even if the dirty waters there go find the edge of it for pelagics if weather allows.
Saftey/common sence in the river mouth mate keep your eyes out for commercial boats and others, and if ya half onto it youll find fish landbased, boat, river or sea sick spot mate look forward to seeing a report from you and check out some of my old post for tips on bait lures ect

kalbarri was designed for tinny fishn. Takn the 3.75 out for a run tmw morning! Always ctach good fish when your tinny fishn!!
