Submitted by tassy on Sat, 2015-02-14 19:31
After last two days I've decided I'm over fishing alone an am looking to make a few friends here n Perth fishing. Was told you have clubs in wa that do a lot together so was wondering if anyone has some opinions.
Cheers

I have no idea where you
I have no idea where you reside, but I know that the Mandurah Offshore Fishing and Sailing club have a club boat that takes members who don't have boats out during the club's fishing events. I am sure that other clubs would have something similar.

Depends
Depends on where you are based and what sort of fishing you are into.
Most clubs have their Field Days every month which is a good way to meet people and try different spots.
Most fishos would be happy to have another bloke (?) come along for a fish.

yer I live in Armadale, but I dont have gear now for heavy durty Surf fishing an I dont rock fish. I enjoy river fishing mostly. as its peaceful, an less assholes :)Sadly the one up Kalbarri is way WAY to far.... cant travel 600ks to go fishing...:( but there seems to be alot of chances near perth whihc is good. I dont see that many people fishing up the swan for some reason. Though Old traffic bridge gets a but nuts.... I tend to go further up river

Game fishing?
If you are after something a bit different perhaps the Perth Game Fishing Club might be of interest? It's offshore sport fishing, mostly tag and release, but quite a few members don't own boats and fish with other members.

Tassy, good fish up the far
Tassy, good fish up the far reaches of river mate. even further up than ascot, you can get good bream, mulloway and bull sharks. there is usually some old buggas walking there dog that are more than happy to have a chat if that's your thing. Just don't chat to the seedy guys that park near public toilets in them parts. They are interested in another sort of fishing.

Last trip was sbend.
Another one to try is surfcasters.
