Think I'm a magnet for trouble when fishing

Went to north mole beach to try fishing for big flathead etc. was there about 30 odd mins an got a nice bite on my 20kg rod. 2assholes came towards me having been fishing away from me for a while. One tried to grab my rod while other was mouthing off.

Long story short I've a black eye idiot num 1 lost a tooth an num 2 ran off....

Is it me, or does Perth have a high number of mental midgets at night.??

I am getting to old to kick off like old days an really felt this one heh. Gonna give night fishing a miss unless I am up river somewheres. Seems small town Hobart or major city Perth no matter where you go the halfwits follow.

No Idiots?

Sun, 2015-02-15 12:45

I solo fish at night at North Mole and metro beaches every week, as well as fish from a tinny on the Swan at night.  I haven't seen any idiots or ever felt threatened anywhere.  Other guys fishing nearby always have a quick chat or at least say g'day.  Most blokes are just focussed on trying to catch a fish!

Tassy, say to yourself

So many fuckwits out

Sun, 2015-02-15 14:55

So many fuckwits out there!!

The WA roads now are as good as any place to find them, You guys that drive the freeway often I take my hat off to you...

I actually was thinking today how good it would be to shoot a road rager in the foot with a pistol or shoulder with a crossbow...

The Tailgaters that sit up your ass fuck me off no end, I just feel like slaming brakes on, it would be after that that crossbow to shoulder would be the way to go...

I reckon they might choose to change their bad behaviour should they have to remove an arrow that's penetrated the bone...

As MattMiller said just don't live in the city, I'm nice n calm once I've turned left at the Busso bypass...

For the record I don't own either a CB or a handgun,

Tassi - Buy a water pistol, paint it black and get a laser on it, that will most likely deter the rod touchers when they see the laser on their chest...

Whoa, don't get me started of the freeway knob heads, nearly got reared ended today some 10k North of Mandurah. I'm bowling along at about 113kmh, pull out to go around a car and boat when this tosser at 125khm in a Navara went within inches of giving me a shunt. If I just gave my cruise control a flick to cancel, this prick would have been in the tub. Just confirms my belief that Perth does have the very worst drivers in the country.

110kmh zone, I always sit a couple of kays over, I find it keeps things moving along. Living in the country so long, I'm used to open road driving at speeds, And I will reiterate, Perth has the worst drivers.

So you moved from the left

Mon, 2015-02-16 11:24

So you moved from the left lane into the right lane to overtake & the Navara was already in the right lane?

Your post reads to me like you pulled in front of a vehicle in the right lane that was travelling faster than you & too close to be pulling in front of even if they were at a similar speed to your own (unless you did the slowest lane change in history, the closing speed (12kph) isn't very fast) or am I reading your story wrong?

All good, had a laugh at your first comment, for the record, the guy came from the same lane as me, there were a few cars in that lane which was the left one, nobody was in the right lane when I moved across, this guy come from a couple of cars back.

Ahh, that makes more sense. He's done the old "get the shits & stomp on the loud pedal" trick. That's why I wanted you to clarify what you meant so I didn't falsely accuse you of pulling out in front of someone.

I'm not sure I believe you when you say there was nobody in the right lane holding everyone up by pacing the car next to them though. This is WA after all. (just joking)

If you put in the time LB

Sun, 2015-02-15 15:33

If you put in the time LB fishing at the popular haunts you will come across some absolute scum that will harass you totally unprovoked. I lent a guy my headlight to find his car keys at a Rockingham jetty, when he found them I asked for my headlight back and he threw it in the water.

So many Rocko jetty stories to tell, but if you fish landbased for long enough around the metro, trouble will come.

yep perth bad for it mate we fish round there a bit i'll let you no when we head down and you can hang with us dont be put off i've been doing all nighters with mates since i was 16 and had a few dramas, even use to take the swag to eshed with the misses and stay. this is my tip if your on the sand and get harrased rod holders your best mate or a handful of sand in the eyes followed by a quick right pursueder, but usaly fishing with 2 or 3 mates crew just leave you alone we'll arange a sesh soon maybe eshed or northmole for a mulloway and some bait

hehe no worries mate cheers. I dont really have much of a problem with the kids... young ones today didnt grow up in 70s when it was hard :p... most are all mouth. We learned to look out for ourselves in North london as 10 year olds so it isnt to bad... But that doesnt make you importal...

Anyways all that BS aside I have actually found fishing the swan more fun an profitable. Not to mention more comfortable. I hate that concreate stand at North mole. Beach is nice but the stand is hell. Eshed has to many people. I went down there took one look at the 100 souls fishing an left.

lol the youth of today...cant

Sun, 2015-02-15 18:59

lol the youth of today...cant even be happy for someone else catching a fish?? its unfortunate what happed to u mate, but like everyone else has said, its bound to happen once in a while. drugs, alcohol, lack of parenting, a biff with the missus?...who knows what causes these dickheads to act the way they do.

as for saying all perth drivers are bad or the worst, its a croc. i consider myself to be a very good driver, never had/caused a road rage incident or an accident. WA is a big state, and there are alot of people that move here from overseas and other states...ill put my bottom dollar on the fact that its those people who are the "bad drivers". i love living in the country now. nothing shits me more than having to go to perth and getting wablocked by every second or third car. (for those of you who dont know what wablocking is...its the dickheads that block the right hand lane off by pulling out and doing the same speed as the people in the left lane - but aimed at wa drivers lol) after im stuck doing doing 105kmh in a 110kmh zone for 5 mins i tend to tailgate :P

I once had a guy in a boat abuse me and my mate when we were fishing from the shore near some boat pens in the swan. apparently we had no right to be there because he was taking part in a fishing competition.

Can I tell you a tail about those who think they own the swan

Mon, 2015-02-16 17:31

Unfortunately I have crossed swords a few times with yacht club types who think they have sole right to direct who goes where and does what on the swan.

Some individuals have been very good about things and when asked to quote what bit of legislation gives them this power they have gone all quiet about what they perceive to be trespassing. Others not so and I always try to end the contact by saying why don't you ring 131 444 and get guidance.

That usually ends the verbal intercourse.

i agree tim nothing worse than dickheads that block the right lane mate, i tail gate them aswell i would love for one of them to slam the brakes on then we get to the side of the road together... if they see someone coming up faster from behind move over... its not that hard.

 I generally go fishing

Sun, 2015-02-15 19:45

I generally go fishing before sunup as I find it a lot more enjoyable. Wife doesn't lie being home alone at night to often so it works for me.

To answer question earlier... I don't know what I had on line, it was enough to bend a 10-20kg ugly stick. Whatever it was I sadly lost it. But shit happens.

Going backup to token hy bridge at ascott this week. It's really nice up there in early hours. Point Walter is a bit of blowout. Lotta rich guys that don't seem to like conversation.
