Kalbarri in September
Submitted by Evansb80 on Fri, 2012-08-31 11:58
Hi everyone farley new to fishwrecked and thought it would be a good place to get some info, heading up to kalbarri in late september and just wondering if it's worth towing the boat up or not. Has anyone fished up there this time of the year and what would be the best thing to target on the boat, and is it better fishing north or south of the mouth. Any info to make my decision would be much apprecatied.

gday and welcome, try the search function on the left there and you should find a fair few similar posts and answers to your questions. Try googling 'kalbarri fishing' aswell, there are a few places to start off.
try this one http://fishwrecked.com/forum/kalbarri-20 (you'll see my own answer to similar question).

I dont know about september, butIf you google it you should see the webpage for Murchison boat hire, give that a look as they have pretty regular updates on whats being caught.
Don't want to come off rude but, I reckon the reason you've had no replies is that you've asked alot of pretty general questions that you could find answers to if you looked, it would take a paragraph or two to answer them all.

September / October:
Start of the summer pattern of still mornings and an afternoon sea breeze. Some days there will be an early southerly which makes for an uncomfortable trip home in the boat. 2 month closed season for category one demersal species starts 15th October. Bottom fishing close in still good with trevally, mulloway and tailor the main target. Big winter tailor and mulloway time.
