Kalbarri Sports Fishing Classic

The Kalbarri Offshore & Angling Club

Invites you back to the

largest annual organised fishing event in the Mid-West, the
“KALBARRI SPORTS FISHING CLASSIC”
in its 20th year.

A Game-fishing, Bottom-fishing and River Tournament

The 2006 “Classic” is nearly upon us and we have been busy organising and readying ourselves for this our 20th “Classic”

We thank you for your participation last year and welcome you back on the 3rd, 4th and 5th of March this year for another great competition.

This year we have changed the max bag limit in the bottom section to 7 fish as there has been some confusion in the past, and we have evened the boat size sections to under 6m, 6m to 7m and over 7m. These boat divisions should see an even number of boats in each section.

The game section remains the same but please be aware that as last year only two brands of line are acceptable: Platypus Pretest and Black Magic Pretest. If your reels have anything else it is advised to change to one of the above brands.

The river section remains the same and we would like to encourage more live fish brought in to be tagged and released. Our river is important to us.

We would like to welcome onboard our major sponsors: The Kalbarri Motor Hotel where we have the weigh-in and Works Infrastructure who are doing the utilities for the big development at Red Bluff.

Entry forms have been sent to most tackle shops in WA and all fishing clubs in the Yellow Pages. Ask for one at your usual tackle shop. Please be aware that we are encouraging pre entry and this should be done by 10th February 2006. You may enter after that date but there is an extra “late entry fee” and we cannot guarantee “T” shirts and “Classic” packs for late entries.

I wish you tight lines and great weather and hope to see you up here on the Labour Day Week End. More info is available by emailing me your name and address and an info pack will be sent to you. A competition booklet with all the rules & regulations will be available at the briefing.
