Karratha beach fishing

Hey guys i have just been giving a job up karratha on searipple camp only doing 10hr days so might be able to sneek out for a quick fish but i wont be able to go to  far cos i dont think ill be able to get hold of a car!! also anyone know of a boxing gym up here

walk over the dunes right near searipple and down to the mangroves, on a low tide (spring tides will give you a low late in the arvo) walk out over the flats towards the water and there's some reef out there... heaps of cod can be caught on minnow lures as well as the odd threadfin and queenies trevs etc... Nothing too great but good fun if you have some time to kill, chuck a few beers in a backpack and have fun :) No car needed.

Yeah forgot to mention that, it's just common sense for locals. It's usually worse near the mangroves but that area isn't as bad as a lot of other areas from memory.

As far as tackle goes (not sure what you have) a light 8-20lb casting rod around 7 foot with a small spinning reel with 14-20lb braid or something similar will be optimum.

Might have to hit up the local tackle shop i say left all me gear back in vic!!! you wouldnt know of any boxing gyms mate??? also if your ever in the area mate have to come for a fish!!
