Ketchup ............
Submitted by alfred on Sun, 2008-01-06 18:57
Have to say I am abit pissed. Noticed this arvo that some joker decided to go around the estate I stay in and write all over the place with ketchup, including all over my boat and trailer! When keptchup dries on hot fiberglass in direct sunlight it is a pain to scrub off too.............! Grrrrrrr! Guess it's better then spray paint, but I just wish that some folks will have more respect for others.
Took so much effort to get the boat off the street as well, have cut a proper parking bay in the garden to park it but looks like thats not good enough.

I am having trouble with
I am having trouble with some little pricks in my area also. Twice in a month I have had my car back window smashed. Nothing stolen or even tried to get into the car, just break the window and run off.
Couple of days ago there was a group of kids on bikes milling arround out front of the house as I came home. As I got out of the car one of them comments "isn't that the car that (insert shitheads name) breaks the window on. Before I can finish hurling abuse they are off down the road laughing there heads off.
My neighbour got his rear car window broken last night and during the day they where across the road throwing rocks at him while he was gardening.
What do you do. I'm not allowed to catch one and bash him or I will be the one going to court.

"give the bill for the damage to there parents. that usally works" When someone's child act's like that I reckon the parents don't give a toss.

Totally right
Brad and Goatchy - couldn't agree more. Good on you Brad for giving the brats what they deserved - incredible about the parents - talk about lack of responsibilty. I was initially against boot camps - but, if run firm and fair, I can see benefits.
We have to start making parents more accountable - if you have children - you have resonsibility.
..and I agree Goatchy - it IS that simple.

Hi Ya, Goatch & Colin, I
Hi Ya,
Goatch & Colin, I think the problem is that folks like you guys & me are too old to recognise the 'benefits' of the modern ways as opposed to the way we were brought up.
Cheers.

Well
Well, and I'm sure Goatchy would agree Ody, I think the preferred term is 'experienced' .
My father was in the Britsh Navy, then the Merchant Marines, then the State Shipping service - so he had hands like iron - and I received a belting on more than one occassion - and I never forgot it. (I eventually learned :) ).
Life is about responsibilities and consequences - if you don't learn them young, you are going to be maladjusted for the rest of your life - or until you do. .

Everyone does some silly
Everyone does some silly things when there young, (some I dont like admitting to:) but most grow out of it. That shouldnt hold anyone back from giving the little pricks what they deserve.

Respect
Well When I was 15yr's old or whatever I wasn't going around ketchuping peoples boats etc, and only explanation I think is poor parenting. Sure kids get up to mischeif, but vandalising someone elses property comes down to poor parenting IMO.

It's a combination of both. Often the parents don't know what the kids are doing or if they did, then it's just poor parenting. Sigh!

Lack of respect i reckon
Kids of today dont get taught respect, they can go around bullying other kids and muck around at school and yet nothing at all happens to them. Goatch hit the nail on the head with the fact to many toff noses kicked up a stink about kids getting the cane so the poxy government canned it. I for one would love to see my kids get the cane if they play up at school as i damn well know it taught me a bit about respect. Also most kids of today are that bloody spoilt that they think they can get away with everything i beleive we should ban Playstations, Foxtel and all the other luxurys that they have and make them find things to do in the great outdoors like sport, martial arts, fishing etc etc. Brad good onya i would have done the same thing and wore the consequences later.
