Yeah technique shared would be good. I know the type of ground to look for but I guess a few ways to present bait etc helps. Nice bag btw.

8 metres so i guess fairly shallow. As far as technique we anchor up and burley. I am no expert though and havent really targeted too much before. We used squid for bait this sessionbut got some last week on prawns and even mulie chunks

Nice haul

I'm so hungry looking at that catch, very jealous. If I can crack half a dozen at my spots I am stoked, you cleaned up! Did you have problems with wrasse/butterfish/trumpeter? Seems like every time I spot some ground that I think would be good KG territory I catch 10 junk fish to every KG. I usually use good quality prawns (get the aussie ones from Woolies or Coles service deli, cheaper than the half rotten bait ones, and smell a lot nicer too!) but don't burley, seems it makes the butterfish go nuts. Most of my spots are in 2-3m close in shore around Garden Island.

Thanks for sharing,

BD

Top haul there,i find

Top haul there,i find regarding technique that the closer to the bottom your hook is the better.Strips of squid and those plastic red worms work best for me.Sometimes if your fishing for Dhuies a long shank with a bit of squid tied down near your sinker will find the KGS.

When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:

n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or

n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.

Great catch there.
Have been getting them in flinders bay at Augusta averaging around 42cm. Great eating. A lot od decent sand whiting in the mix as well. Have not been burleying. Not a fan of wrasse comin around when they get a sniff.
