Funny-my two boys (and my girls for that matter) have fished and boated with me in all weather and all areas offshore and caught pinkies reds dhuies sweetlip trout etc.
But they can easily burn up an arvo catching blowies on the rocks by hand and hook

Best fun I have with my young blokes is sand whiting. Action is usually thick and fast and they have a ball, I take em out deep for a dhuie and they loose interest if they arnt getting a fish every 5 minutes........

oh they dont lose interest out there, Cam (8) especially will go all day no probs, even if the fishing is slow and/or weather shit. I'll chuck up a vid of him fighting a wahoo in Coral Bay last week.
But they will still spend a day running round a 50meter round island at the Abrolhos or 3 hours catchjing blowies in the harbour (today)!
