Kimberley pics and film
Just back from another sortie thru the wilds, this time we went to the Prince Regent River mouth before turning around due to dwindling fuel reserves.
Also knocked up a little film clip while sitting out no water up mangrove creeks, caught some great footage of a baby humpback and mum jumping around the boat, she swam under us before doing her leap, wish i had snapped a pic of the sounder!

After much prodding and requests we will be running organised commercial convoys into the area, one in 8 weeks time (2 spots left) and several more next year, mostly to Talbot Bay and Horizontal Falls, but some venturing further to Raft Point and PRR. You can email me for details at info@wetspotcharters.com.au or phone 0425 123451.

Nice
Awesome vid, amazing country. Shame having to turn around at the mouth of the Regent, lots of accessable art and some real hidden gems up the river. Absolutely awesome pics and video though, really does the place justice.
Just curious, will the charters be a trailer boat convoy only or will a larger vessel be on hand?

weve got 3 big boats,
weve got 3 big boats, biggest 80ft - but i expect we will end up leading off with our 8m, it will make more sense in getting the groups into tight places and breaking trail where needed. Were taking the dedicated 5.5m Barra boat up which will provide the FTOL license to do the guided fishing. Upside of the big boat is we can carry heaps 200L fuel cans on the deck, downside it will cost a fortune to get it into position from perth, and just add to the cost for the members, not completely decided, and be great to have the amenities of a big vessel, but think we will lean towards the smaller boats and increased mobility and least amount of expense for the members

Always thought it would be an
Always thought it would be an awesome way to launch a expedition and really explore the Kimberley with a lot more range. have a mother ship loaded with fuel, water and hot showers as a support for the trailer boats to splinter out from. shame everything cost $$$$ though.
Be great to get some range beyond the archipelago, a lot less untouched to explore, lots of art, bone islands, and the fishing just gets to easy!

Yeah Dave the temp was
around 37 - 38oc every day and was a bit warm for sleeping but I did rig up a 12 volt fan in the cab, which worked well.
The camp spot in the photos is probably 1km before you get to the X n X's camp inlet.. I presume that the 'Other' one you mention is the old X n X's Hippy camp?? Or is there another one again??

another one again, epic
another one again, epic joint with lights, fans, hammocks, fridges, and so on! and a porch view to die for - Id be shot by the locals if i disclosed it but, very well hidden we would never have found it except for being told by someone. PM me if ya heading back! Have you been into Dugong? same as cone, until you start really prodding around it seems like just another bay, and then boom ya find stuff - epic barra creeks, 80m waterfalls, even some coral reef!

Yet another camp ah??
As that was our first trip up there and so much to explore, we didn't go into Dugong bay, But next time I would like not only like to explore Dugong but venture to Raft point and Sales River.
Also another trip I would like to do is to launch at Wyndham and do the Berkeley River trip.. Wait and See
