Kodiak brake failure

When I towed the boat to the ramp the other day, found a piece of disc pad on the ground.
Looked like the friction material had delaminated so I ordered a new set online.
Tonite I popped all wheels off for a look and found another the same also.
Incidentally, ordered them thru Titan Trailer Brakes in Cleveland Queensland the night before last.
And delivered today, less than 48hrs ($18 delivery)
A few weeks back I ordered some CV joints from Vic, delivered in the same timeframe and thats to Gero, unbelievably quick

Look at the state of those
Look at the state of those backing plates, you think that for a marine component they could be made out of stainless and possibly even be recyclable.

Use plenty of elbow grease with a wire brush
Clean them up with a wire brush and apply a good cold galv paint then check them every year along with the wheel bearings.

Problem is the corrosion
Problem is the corrosion gets behind the friction material and I dont think any cold gal will stop that
Can get SS ones, more than double the price.
The Kodiak ones are identical to a few of the older yank cars like the Buicks etc and are only $15 a set over there but $60+ here
