Koh Doc Mai - Phuket

Recently visited Phuket and took the opportunity to do three dives, Koh Doc Mai (wall dive of island pictured) brilliant, King Cruiser Wreck (crap - typical silty rusty old hulk) and Shark Point at Anenome Reef ..........more clown fsh and leopard sharks than you can   can poke a stick at.  Slick dive operation with one guide to every two divers, you didn't even need to put your own fins on, the "deck boy" did it for you .............highly recommended, remember to tip the guide and deck boy as their daily income is only around 200baht (less than $8).

Much appreciated, and yes I was pretty happy with the pictures taken on my old Sony in a housing, if I have another trip up that way I will venture further to the Similans or Andaman Islands. Fishing wise I tried to get some of our group (89) for an exclusive charter, cost only around $500 for exclusive use with up to 8 people aboard including lunch, trouble was with the hotel and bar happy hours it was impossible to get any of them in their rooms before 2.00am ............next time

I am going over there in 3 weeks. cant wait to see the sun again...

Been looking into a few fishing charters, but havent seen any that have much luck or good evidence of catching decent fish. Saw one with a few tiny wrasse which looked way too much challenging for me...

Fishing Phuket

Plenty of charters, the night fishing one really appealed to me but time ran out, costs are very reasonable .........diving was great but we only had 8 divers aboard - it was capable of taking 50 (ummm dont know that would be much fun - flashing fins ?????)
