wot i usually do is catch
wot i usually do is catch some fish for a feed and clean everything down the shoreline while throwing all the heads, blood, guts in a bucket, give it a bit of a mash with a rock or something. Then throw it out there and usually throw the big line out for an hour before taking my fish to cook. I know this method works a treat up north. Shark within 20min almost garantee it
kill it??? eat it!!!!

caught
Iv had big bags of burly out with fish frames , pellets , oils , sards and caught nothing . Not saying it doesn't work , but imo think its a waist of time.
I Seem to catch more fish with out any burly , just use big baits and wait , if there are any about u will get a run.

cage
made myself a round burley cage out of 6mm gal rod and mesh it would be about 60l size , fill it up with old bait ,whole tuna , cat food , left over roast chook etc
hammer in a star picket and let the waves do the work produces a good constant trail .

I fish for sharks all the time and never once used berley. Get to many rays with burley, if you have got a big whole bait a shark will smell it if there is one around.
always looking for a new challenge!!

gotta agree with the above.
gotta agree with the above. Used to put lots of effort into burley and never noticed a difference for it. Just get a big bait out deep, sliding, baloons or kayak watever works
