2012 Fishwrecked Exmouth Invitational - Sat 31st March, Sun 1st April, Monday 2nd April
Hi Crew,
I have decided on the dates for the fishwrecked competition. They are going to be held late March/early April for the following reasons ; Gamex and AIBT are on Mid March and have lots of boats in town, most of them will have gone by the time our comp is on. Its the week before school holidays start and Easter - so the chaos at the ramps will mainly be by us. It does pose a cyclone risk, but it is usually pretty minimal by then and the chances are slim. These dates also leave holiday rentals available before school hols begin. The temperature will be warm but hopefully so will the water temp and with the international and gamex the weeks before hand, we should have a pretty good idea if the billfish are worth chasing or if we spend most of our time chasing other oooglies.

8.40am : 1.25m
3pm : 2.1m
10.30 : 1.1m

4.45am : 1.7m
9.20am : 1.4m
4pm : 2m
Monday 2nd:

6:15pm : 1.9m

Exmouth accommodation??
Hi guys
A question about accommodation...is there any advantage to staying in town vs. the lighthouse caravan park in terms of access to a boat ramp???
I was leaning towards staying in town because the marina is pretty close but if you're staying at the lighthouse, where's the nearest ramp and how far is it to drag the boat every day??

We were there beginning of May in the chalets & we had telsta coverage from the back of the units near the water tanks. We also had an extension antenna wich gave us coverage for phone & internet inside the chalet.

It is ridiculous
I consulted my accountant and he said you can scrap the LCT as they are deemed a commercial vehicle designed to carry loads, but at the price it is hard to justify spending that much unless you really need to towing capacity.
I priced up a Landcruiser ute today as well and it's half the price, so it seems that will be my next ride.....
Should drag the 670 Allrounder to Exmouth with no problems....
