Landcruiser Chrome Bullbar - Mudstains
Submitted by crasny1 on Fri, 2011-07-15 09:47
Just thought I would ask.
I have a 200S Cruiser and took it out where it belong into some mud. Washed after the trip but it has left some stains on the chrome where the mud was. Have tried polish without a dent in the stain.
Anyone have any idea about this nuisance problem please.

The best stuff for
The best stuff for rejuvenating s/s is "Purple Stuff" if you can find it. this stuff is amazing. It effect it has on ali is a sight to behold. Turns it into a mirror - brighter than s/s.

yeah mate just do a google
yeah mate just do a google search for stains on chrome bullbar or something. there is lots of info in the different camping and 4x4 forums.
whatever product you use, you will have to use a tonne of elbow grease.........
but like you say - 4x4's belong in the mud so a few stains, scratches and dents shouldnt be anything to stress about.... well thats what i tell my mrs anyway....

Stains
Mine did the same thing...I was surprised that "mud" would leave a permanent stain. Its got a collection of scratches and dents now so I have stopped worrying about it.

Not a mayor concern but it looked soooo nice brand new. Might just have to live with it.

The polish is called Purple
The polish is called Purple and you can get it from Truckline, its not that cheap but it works a treat on chrome and ali. I have never seen it being sold in an auto parts shop.

getting the bottom line final answer from a bunch of blokes that use false names and put smiley faces at the end of paragraphs is not the best place in the world to get the information you seek.

Sounds like it is
And sounds to easy to use. No rubbing means a slack job so now I might get some.

Have just bought some
Have just bought some Auotsol. What a top product. Have cleaned my ali bars on the Triton as easy as pie. Bought from Atom supply in Welshpool for $55.
