Last night (sun 2nd)

headed out from hillarys south towards hale road, anchored up about 5pm and got a bit of burley flowing. Action was good all evening and we bagged out and called it a day at about 8pm. Nothing massive but all quality fish.

Both
had a softy in the rod holder and bait on the rod I was holding, the softy went off about 5 times with mostly undersized dhues but got one of the size snapper on it.

Do you have your plastic on the bottom whilst in the rod holder or just off?

Plastic
usually drop it to the bottom and crank the handle 1 or 2 times so it sits a meter or two off the bottom.

Great bag!
I've marked some likely spots in that area before but have been reluctant to try them after I found out there are anchoring restrictions due to a submarine cable in the area. Does anyone have any info on this?

Submarine cable
i think most of the submarine cables are disused now and there are no restrictions anymore but would be marked on current gps map cards if there were.

Submarine Cable Info
That submarine cable off Scarbs that lands at Floreat is one of the main international internet links in/out of WA.
Anchoring etc is restricted, see info here:
