Lobsters ‘caught illegally’
2nd July 2008, 7:15 WST
Two Perth men face fines of more than $47,000 after they were stopped on Brand Highway near Dongara and allegedly found to be in possession of 38 rock lobsters caught out of season, including 31 which were undersize.

Pretty expensive lobsters
Nearly $1200 each. Serves them right.

More where these came from
Has anyone tried crabbing down along the Peel estuary and seen the family groups of 20 or more people taking crabs from the size of a 20c piece upwards plus any juvenile cobbler unlucky enough to swim by? These are then blended into paste for cooking. What a waste and though it's been years since i crabbed there, i am told the same thing is still going on by a mate who lives at Port Bouvard. Obviously Fisheries must catch a few but i know if you say anything you have a threating bunch of very aggressive people on your hands.

7.62MM
An SLR 7.62MM or M16 with an grenade launcher would be more suitable - you can get the ones further out

hey col, we should make one
hey col, we should make one of these to get the sinker and bait out further.... as in another post on here...... save gas on the spud gun..... and not as energetic as golf... mind you it would be a bugger to get down the beach...
maybe make it on a trailer.. and if it big enough doesnt need to be on the beach, can use it from the car park
