Just bought one of these rods the other day, feels bloody good. Was wonderin if a stradic 4000 or 5000 would be ideal for this rod? and how heavy should i go with the line

nah 6000 would be too big.
nah 6000 would be too big. 4000 or 5000.. I have a xzoga pe3 rod with a stradic 4000 on it with 30lb braid, great outfit for lighter jigging. Depends what you're targetting, 30lb is the prob the heaviest you'd want on a 4000, could got heavier on the 5000.

5000 or 6000 size
Id go the 5000 or 6000, more line capacity and stronger, but also starts weighing a bit more. Just looking at the reel spec's id go the 5000. I was using a 4000 saragosa on my pe 3 and after 12 months and too many long runs from big fish it burnt out my drag washers, so thats why id go the larger size.

isnt the gear ratio abit too
isnt the gear ratio abit too high for jigging on the stradic, although its still fine to do it just change up the style abit.

Slightly high but it's fine
Slightly high but it's fine for demersal jigging or bigger plastics.
