Hi Everyone,
I am sure this may have been discussed before, so if there already is a post i appologise.
I am after a light jigging / bottom bashing spin reel that will suit 20-30lb braid. Fishing mosting around the Busselton area in WA
I know a lot might say stella 4000/5000 but this is out of my range.
Certate 3500HD I would luv but i might be pushing my luck with the minister of finances.
Is there any other recommendations eg :
Caldia Kix
Sol 4000
Biomaster SW
Sustain
Stradic
any advice would help

reel
either a sustain /biomaster/or stradic fj model in 4000 to 6000 size would be fine, stella 4k or 5k would be the best though , but the cost is not for everyone. cheers

TD Fuego 3500-4000.$200-$400
TD Fuego 3500-4000.
$200-$400 on eBay
Light weight can jig all day, comes standard with spare spool(save $)
So u can have one 30lb n 20lb spool ready to fish. Pe2 can fit 300m and pe3 less
Can use RCS parts for this reel.

i just bought a fuego 3000
i just bought a fuego 3000 landed for under $200 au, will fit between 250-300 daiwa accudepth 20lb.
havnt used it yet but feels like a match to the ci4 shimano's, infact i would say it feels a bit better in the hand.
and dont use ebay, google fuego, the place i found was $165 plus $36 us shipping, unfortunately no 3500/4000, found some daiwa bradia's cheap on ebay but they wouldnt ship to au, they were under $200 and had the larger models, may be heavier but i also have a bradia and would rate it slightly better than the fuego.
Here we go again.

I would go the stradic for a cheap option.
Good reel, and in a 5000 size they are the small body, unlike the saragosa where the 5000 is a heavy lunker by comparison.
When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:
n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or
n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.

I am a massive fan of Quantum reels, and the cabo would be perfect.
Lots of people use Saragosa's for this type of work be cause they're a safe bet.
Only thing with the gosa is a lot of people change the drag on them over, i geuss
I can let someone with more knowledge on this subject tell you if you should.

Buy the highest level one you can afford, and buy once.....I have lots of old lower quality reels I now donr use much that have been since superceded with better quality ones......still, they come in handy for maccie season loaded with mono.

My mate just bought one of the new Sustains and they look and feel realy nice! Very light and fits over 300m of 30lb Daiwa Tournament Hyper PE. Or a Stradic would be slightly cheaper and still a great reel.
